Nothing gets published without your permission. When you share a story with us, it comes to Rita's inbox first. We might gently edit it for clarity, then send it back to you for approval. Only with your clear "yes" does it ever appear on this page.
You're always in control. You can ask us to remove your story at any time, no questions asked. You can also ask us to publish it fully anonymously, we'll never reveal who you are.
We're listening, even when stories aren't for publishing. Most of what people share with us stays private, and that's beautiful too. Sometimes people just want to be heard.
